Mr. Cavalcanti has a degree in graphic design from San Diego City College and a BFA in
Painting from the San Diego Art Institute. He also studied art at San Diego's Mesa
College and music at Portland State University. He states he is enthralled by
architectural structures, organic forms, spiritual symbolism, and world religions. He
works in an abstracted style with traditional media: painting, drawing, printmaking, and
acoustic music. Mr. Cavalcanti carves out, describes, and suggests original spaces with
bold and sensitive markings that evoke scapes he leaves us to decipher for ourselves.
