Mr. Carrigan received his BFA from the University of Michigan and worked in New York

City before he and his family moved to the Bay Area.  His articulate logic frequently

manifests itself visually in his works as an underlying structure that is not always initially

evident.  The gestural whimsy of these watercolors is play with resolve and part of their
